I think I have solved the problem of the deleted posts. The problem was that everyone was posting at the same time. Here's how to avoid this problem:
If you get a message that someone has edited the page since you were on there:
-cancel your edit
-copy your work
-refresh the page
-click edit again
-paste your work
-save
Never say yes to over writing someone's work.
Also, do your work in a word processer and just cut and paste it onto this page. That way, if you get deleted, it's easy to repost it.
If you are having trouble with multiple deletes, just send me a message with your posting in it, and I will post it for you.

It's far too difficult to name my favourite story, but I can at last name one of my favourite stories. I'm a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe; in particular, I like 'The Tell Tale Heart', first published in 1843. Although it was written quite a long time ago, I think it is still scary today! Coincidentally, it is a Short Story!
It's also a great example of how short sentences and exclamation marks can create suspense. (Plus, I like the 'Itchy & Scratchy' version in one of the Halloween 'The Simpsons' specials.) Hi everyone! My favourite story is 'The Hobbit' by J.R.R. Tolkien. I think that it is exciting,interesting, and full of suspense. The main character is Bilbo Baggins, a quiet hobbit who likes things to be normal. He is visited by the wizard, Gandalf, and is persuaded to go on an exciting quest. He brings along some friends, who have a variety of different personalities. Together they face different obstacles along the way to the dwelling of an evil dragon, Smaug, to steal some of its hoard. This isn't a short story. The story has a variety of language and sentence structure, as well as different moods throughout the story . The movie, Lord of the Rings, was based on it and the movie: 'The Hobbit' is supposed to come out soon! I would recommend the book to anyone in 7c...

My favorite story is "The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury it is a SIFI short stories written in about 1975 when tv was new and everyone was addicted to it. Our author Ray Bradbury talks about how people are getting addicted to tv and it might led the world in to some serious consequence of watching tv. In this story the kids killed their parents just for locking up the nursery.
It was really interesting for me reading it because it showed how dangerous it can turn out when kids watch tv every single time. I really recommend 7C student to read it. We can easily find the story in google just type the title. Hope you guys enjoy! Thank you for listening!

FROM: LUCY MOONJ 7S My favorite stories are Howl’s Moving Castle—by Dianna Wynne Jones; Once Upon a Marigold (and its sequel, Twice Upon a Marigold)—by Jean Ferris; The Name of this Book is Secret (and all the books in the series)—by Pseudonymous Bosch; and A Whole Nother Story and the sequel, Another Whole Nother Story (which I unfortunately haven’t read)—by Dr. Cuthbert Soup. But I’d like to share A book with you of them would be way too hard)… And they are (drumrolls, please!) The Name of this Book is Secret—by Pseudonymous Bosch The Name of this Book is Secret is my favorite book because it’s very mysterious in a way that no other mystery books are! Although it’s very sinister and evil in the climax part and can creep the reader out, it’s what I call an awesome book. Firstly, I like this book because it’s more as if the author himself is talking to me—he includes many chapters in the story where he seems to be blabbering his mind out, jotting all the ideas down as his brain rolls on, fuming ideas all over the place. I love it! Secondly, his use of dialogues make it seem as if I’m standing a few meters away from the main characters, but just far enough that I can eavesdrop on them. It’s an amazing skill Mr. Bosch possesses and all of us can benefit from his style of writing! Thirdly, the story is more mysterious with all the riddles he had created himself twisted in the story and it’s fun to try to figure out the riddles as I go along reading the story, racking brains to keep thinking! My favorite character in this book is Ms. Mauvais. Even though she’s the evil character in the story, I like the way she speaks and I love the description that Mr. Bosch provides for this character. Plus, she’s sort of not human. Extraterrestrial, I’d say, but the author does not say that she IS extraterrestrial, and that makes me keep wondering, “WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN?!?!” making her an even more mysterious, yet cool character. A book that I enjoyed reading was the 'Wind on Fire' series. Now, I am reading the last book of the series. Generally, the book is about three children that goes on an adventure all around the world. It is a fiction book. In the first book, the town that the children live in gets very weird. For example, the Chief Examiner doesn't recognise his own son. So, Kestrel, Bowman and Mumpo (the names are weird) sets off to find a piece of stone called the 'Silver Voice'. When they get it, they come back with a fierce army on their trail called the Morah. But as most stories finish, they return home safely. In the second book, an army from a place called the Mastery, comes and attacks Aramanth, the town that the kids live in. Everyone except for Kestrel gets taken as slaves.Kestrel goes on a long journey to find the slaves and Bowman (Kestrel's twin brother) defeats the Master (the person in charge of the Mastery) I don't know how the last book goes yet, but I presume it to be good. My favourite story is called Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson (unabridged). It's genre is mainly adventure,loyalty and piracy. This story is packed full of action and many unexpected twists to the plot, also with mysterious traps and things that occur without a warning. The main character is a teenage boy called Jim who's characteristics change throughout the novel to a very bold and courageous person. He tackles many unpredicted challenges of betrayal and violence especially with Long John Silver and other crew members. However, this book simultaneously demonstrates betrayal and loyalty.
My favourite character is definitely Long John Silver. He shows what a real villain is and acts quick witted. He is mischievous and envious to Jim and other characters like Dr.Livesey. The novel doesn't foreshadow before Long John Silver turns against Jim and comes as a electrifying surprise to the reader when he does, since he was so generous to Jim and showed him everything about piracy. He first turns away from Jim when he makes a gang and murders two of Jim's crew members. However, on the other hand Long John Silver is the most charismatic character in the novel. Even though he has only one leg he moves swiftly across rough decks and also when his gang started to think that they shouldn't believe him, with one speech he turned them back to his side.

My favourite story is 'Shooting an elephant' by George Orwell.
The story is narrated in first person, and the main character represents the writer. The main characters are the narrator whose job is a police officer, the Burman people, and the elephant which suddenly attacks the town and Burman. So, the police officer had to go and kill the elephant which killed an indian, but didn't really want to. However, he shoots the elephant several times because many people were watching him. He also felt pressured as a police officer. Later on, the police officer finds out that the elephant was stripped by the people in Burman and was almost left with bones...
It was quite sad for me... I felt sorry for the elephant who was stripped by the people..........

One of my favourite stories I've read so far is called 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry. For me, this book was very poignant and it also made me cry while reading it. It made me think about what my definition of a 'perfect world' was because this book is set in a different kind of world than ours in the 21st century. Whether this book is set in the future or whether this book is set in a completely differerent world is not clear in the book, therefore it's up to the readers to decide. I thought this book might be set in the future because the 'Receiver' keeps all memories from the past which are extinct from the local peoples' minds and they are not familiar with the idea of 'danger', 'pain', 'war' or fear at all. There are less choices that can be made by people because all the things that are not safe are illegal and no-one ever thinks about doing something lateral or unusual. For example, the people are frightened when they see an airplane flying over the sky because it is illegal for airplanes to fly over vilages. The Elders observe the children's personality and what they're good at and assign them a role in the Community. There is no choice. When you're too old, you are 'released', which means you are put to sleep, without pain. No-one knows what the 'release' really is except the Receiver, who keeps the memories of the things that are extinct in the peoples' minds. It is very painful to be a 'Receiver' and the main character, Jonas is assgined the role of being a 'Receiver'. The current 'Receiver' wants Jonas to call himself the 'Giver' because he is no longer receiving the memories, but he is giving the memories to Jonas. It is also the most likely reason why the book is called the 'Giver'. While receiving the memories from the Giver, he receives some excruciating and depressing memories and he also finds out a shocking fact about the Giver and the Community's past. During Jonas's training, the Giver and Jonas decide the other people need to share the pain and the joy of the memories. If Jonas escapes the village, the memories he had received will be shared, but he must never come back. He decideds to take his 'kind-of-brother', Gabriel because he was going to be released because Gabriel wasn't tall or strong enough for his age. However, the journey outside the village is very strenous and rigorous for Jonas. Now, the last few pages of this book is the part that made me cry. Lois Lowry writes: "...he thought he heard music, too. But perhaps it was only an echo". The word 'echo' leaves a lot of suspense because there are innumerous possibilities what the last sentence could mean. It was kind of annoying at first, but I think Lois Lowry has a very good technique in making the readers think throughout the whole story. I've written the things that were the most memorable to me, but the book is much more interesting that it probably sounds like here. Thank you for reading this!

The main character’s name is Stanley and the police thought that he stole a famous runner’s shoe. He stays in jail and meets Zero, Armpit, X-Ray and more. They have to dig up a hole every day. At last, Stanley and Zero try to run away. I think this is a great story. I think you should read it.

Comments: Hello, this is Jiwan Lee from Year 8. Like Ms. Healy, I have lots of favorite books. Hello, this is Jiwan Lee from Year 8. If I have to name only one, it is 'Hunger Games', the series by Suzzane Collins. The first time I read this book, I couldn't let go of the book! I took it everywhere I went and read it anytime I had time. Because I never stopped reading the series, I finished the whole series in a week! There are lots of reasons why I like this series. Firstly, I like this series because the author of the book explores the effects of wars and violence on those coming age. Before I read this book, I wasn't very into stories about war and violence but the way Suzanne Collins explores the effects, makes me feel like I'm in the story. I just thought that if, these things really happens in real life in thousands of centuries later, I wouldn't be surprised because Suzanne Collins made it sound do real. Secondly, this book is coming out in the cinemas on March. That is how I got to know about this series. The book is interesting but when I watched the trailer of this movie, I was even more excited to watch the movies because I really enjoyed the book. Lastly, I like this series because I think it is very unique. The setting of the book like Districts and the Capitol, it is full of imagination! I don't know where all her imagination comes from! The people from the book and their characteristic is so different from other types of book that it is wonderful and unique at the same time. These are the reasons why I like this series. And, if I can read the series again, I will read it. Thank you!

Hi this is Margaux from year 8. I also like a lot of books and it is hard to choose one but I quite like the book 'The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne that I read in year 6 (but i forgot the title of this book and it took me ages to find it!!!). This story is about a boy and 5 other poeple including his dognthat travel around the world then their boat crashes on the mysterious island so they have to find vital resources in condition to survive. They split up to find resources but they then get lost!!! And i m not going to continue otherwise i'll give everything away.
I would recomand this book to anyone who likes adventure and survival books.
ps: i am starting to read the book 'around the world in eighty days' also by Jules Verne (because my dad wants me to (in french)) and the begging is quite good. Comments:

Hi I am jake. I have many favorite books, and one of them is 'holes' like Jenny. Since Jenny has written about it, I will introduce you 'the lost hero' from the 'heroes of olympus' series. You all would have read the 'percy jackson and the olympians' series (the lightning thief, the sea of monsters, the titan war, the battle of the labyrinth, and the last olympian) if you like quests and fantasies. People who read this series MUST MUST MUST read the lost hero because the story continues with another half-blood camp added and another main character (don't worry if you miss percy because he comes back in the second book of 'the heroes of olympus' :the son of neptune). here is a introduction to the story: a boy named Jason (half blood) lost his memory and ends up in camp half-blood. monsters are growing stronger under the goddess of earth:Gaea. A new magic called 'charmspeak' can charm people into doing things. A flaming(?) boy. discovor the secrets by reading the lost hero.(it is one of the best books ever and it is also jay won's favorite!)

My favorite books are (to name just a few): Harry Potter by JK Rowling ( Yeah, I STILL like Harry Potter even though I read it in 3rd grade ), Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, the Eragon series by Christopher Poalini, the Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkein and Short Stories by Mark Twain.You probably noticed that all of my favorite stories are fiction stories. I looked at everyone's favorite story above me, and I think it's safe to say that for me, fiction has something in it that makes your blood tingle with anticipation, urging you to pick a fiction book instead of a non-fiction if you had the choice to pick one out of the two. The Lord of the Rings is absolutely NO exception. I first saw the movie when I was very young, and Gollum scared me out of my wits so much, I left the film for my big brother to keep ( He LOVED it and practically memorized all the lines with my dad ) and vowed never to read the book or see the movie ever again. I was proved very wrong a couple year later, when I found no other book to read in my room except for The Hobbit. The Hobbit sparked that dormant bit of exagerated dramatic fiction part of me that left my 'inner voice' quoting lines from The Hobbit whenever the mention of something related to treasure, war, fairy tale creatures and dragons came up in conversations.I strongly reccommend for anyone who likes blood, battle, wits and danger the Eragon series and the series of the Lord of the Rings. ... the Rings:Basically, the good main charecters for these stories are Bilbo Baggins ( the starter of the Lord of the Rings ), his nephew Frodo Baggins, and Frodo's friend as well as manservant and side-kick, Samwise Gamgee (aka Sam). I think that Sam is one of the most funniest charecters in the sequel, as he keeps on rattling on about a forgotten rope. The goal ( and climax ) of this series is to defeat the evil Sarumen and the disembodied spirit of Sauren, also known as the Great Evil. Frodo sets off with the wizard Gandalf and faithful Sam at his side and the inheretied Ring. Later, they face inexpicable horrors and a great war for possesion: Will they restore peace to the land that they know? Or will evil and death torture and transform the country FOREVER? ... Hello all my name is RoninMy Favourite series of books is the diary of a wimpy kid series, It is about a young middle schooler named Greg, who apparently has a horrible family and lives quite a depressing life. Greg has two siblings an older brother named ? and a younger brother named Manny and two parents, who are named ? and ?. The style of writing is very kiddish, but can be entertaining to all. It is a comedy/fiction series although it is very life like(in my opinion) I recommend this hilarious book to all, young or old, bad or good, it doesn't matter who you are, I know you will like it unless you have read it before.Ronin My other favourite story is ´The Ugly Duckling´ by H.C. Anderson the famous danish poet and author,you may have heard of him he has written famous stories like ´The ugly duckling´ (as mentioned),´The little mermaid´ and ´The snow Queen´ and many more! ´The Ugly Duckling´ is very famous all over the world and it is about a small cygnet (baby swan) that gets lost from its real family and is suddenly with another duck family and when they all start growing up it realises that it is different from the others and none off them like him. He then grows up fully and meets other swans, and joins their herd, and it then ends living happyli every after! If you haven´t read any stories of H.C. Andersen, i recommend them! My favourite story out of all books I've read so far that I've really enjoyed is the fourth book of the Fablehaven series which is "Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary" by Brandon Mull. The genre of this book is fantasy with never ending excitement until the last book! The story is based on two siblings called Seth and Kendra. I have read this book three times but I was never bored of it! The series started off with Kendra and Seth visiting their grandparents where they learn that their grandparent's mansion is actually a preserve full of mystical creatures like fairies and satyrs and that their grandparents are the current caretakers of Fablehaven. Between the first and the fourth book Kendra have become fairykind which haven't happened in centuries and have earned the power to read fairy language,see in the dark, and recharge magical objects and Seth became a shadow charmer and earned the power to speak with dark mystical creatures and become invisible in the dark.In this book, Kendra is captured and replaced with a sting-bulb that can duplicate into another form who is ordered to duplicate Kendra and spy on the Knights of Dawn. If you want to find out what happens you can borrow it from the writer of this book.

Hello everyone, My favourite story is Airhead by Meg Cabot it is about this girl called Emerson Watts who got hit on the head by a plasma screen in the Stark Megastore which was suspended from the ceiling. But it was hit by a paint ball fired by a protester which made it fall on her and Nikki Howard. (Who is a famous model) The next thing she knew was that she had been in hospital for a month in chemical a coma. She finally found out after……… that she had had a brain transplant: her brain into Nikki Howard’s body.

I have a lot of favorite books but I really want to recommend all of ks3’s my TOP2 favorite books. First, book is called‘PRIDE AND PREJUDICE’the author is Jane Austen(1775~1875) and it is a classic book. As you guys already know ‘PRIDE’ means having a high opinion of one’s self- importance, and ‘PREJUDICE’ means unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitude. So this is how the story goes… Once there was a woman called Mrs Bennet, she had 5 daughters and they are called Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia (oldest to youngest). Mrs Bennet is a woman who desperately wants her daughters to get married. And the 5 daughters goes to find their TRUE LOVE but it won’t be easy. That is far as I can tell you…LIF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS BOOK GO AHEAD TO THE LIABRARY AND CHECK OUT THIS BOOK!! J

My favourite story is “The Mysterious Benedict Society” , by renton Lee Stewart. This book is about four kids; Reynie, Sticky, Kate and Constance. They are all homeless orphans, who are selected by Mr. Benedict after taking a series of extremely confusing tests. They need to use lateral thinking for the tests, not just normal knowledge that you would learn in school. They have to solve a mystery for Mr. Benedict, and in the process, they become great friends, finding out a lot about themselves and each other.
I enjoyed this story because I could feel the feelings of the characters, especially Kate. The book is first in a series of three. Adri. Lucy, I like your story summary for The Name of this Book is Secret. It sounds really interesting and makes me want to read it. Eric, your font colour was hard to read. The book sounds good though.
Hello, I'm Justin. My favourite story is 'How the Camel got hi hump' by Rudyard Kipling. It is in the book 'Just So Stories'. It is one of my favourite books because it has a little humour. In this book, there are great hooks. my favourite is 'The Red Pyramid' by Rick Riordan. There are lots of great hooks in this book. It got me out of the Harry Potter series and made read the book. it hooked me out. It is about a Dad, a son, and a daughter that are all magiacians, going to the museum. They wear these anklets that contains the spirit of a egyptian god. The father tries to call the king of the gods, but instead brought the evil god that wanted power. the son and the daughter go on a journey and meet a girl older that is also a magician. The son and the duaghter can turn into birds and can turn into the gods avatar state. they train but they run away because the magicians were actually trained to fight the gods. The son and the daughter set off to defeat the evil lord that took over the throne

It's far too difficult to name my favourite story, but I can at last name one of my favourite stories. I'm a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe; in particular, I like 'The Tell Tale Heart', first published in 1843. Although it was written quite a long time ago, I think it is still scary today! Coincidentally, it is a Short Story!
It's also a great example of how short sentences and exclamation marks can create suspense. (Plus, I like the 'Itchy & Scratchy' version in one of the Halloween 'The Simpsons' specials.) But don't read it yet! I want to teach it...hope you're not scared of murder!

My favourite story is 'The Hobbit' by J.R.R. Tolkien. I think that it is exciting,interesting, and full of suspense. The main character is Bilbo Baggins, a quiet hobbit who likes things to be normal. He is visited by the wizard, Gandalf, and is persuaded to go on an exciting quest. He brings along some friends, who have a variety of different personalities. Together they face different obstacles along the way to the dwelling of an evil dragon, Smaug, to steal some of its hoard. This isn't a short story.
The story has a variety of language and sentence structure, as well as different moods throughout the story . The movie, Lord of the Rings, was based on it and the movie: 'The Hobbit' is supposed to come out soon! I would recommend the book to anyone in 7c...

My favorite story is "The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury it is a SIFI short stories written in about 1975 when tv was new and everyone was addicted to it. Our author Ray Bradbury talks about how people are getting addicted to tv and it might led the world in to some serious consequence of watching tv. In this story the kids killed their parents just for locking up the nursery.
It was really interesting for me reading it because it showed how dangerous it can turn out when kids watch tv every single time. I really recommend 7C student to read it. We can easily find the story in google just type the title. Hope you guys enjoy! Thank you for listening!

The Name of this Book is Secret—by Pseudonymous Bosch
The Name of this Book is Secret is my favorite book because it’s very mysterious in a way that no other mystery books are! Although it’s very sinister and evil in the climax part and can creep the reader out, it’s what I call an awesome book.
Firstly, I like this book because it’s more as if the author himself is talking to me—he includes many chapters in the story where he seems to be blabbering his mind out, jotting all the ideas down as his brain rolls on, fuming ideas all over the place. I love it!
Secondly, his use of dialogues make it seem as if I’m standing a few meters away from the main characters, but just far enough that I can eavesdrop on them. It’s an amazing skill Mr. Bosch possesses and all of us can benefit from his style of writing!
Thirdly, the story is more mysterious with all the riddles he had created himself twisted in the story and it’s fun to try to figure out the riddles as I go along reading the story, racking brains to keep thinking!
My favorite character in this book is Ms. Mauvais. Even though she’s the evil character in the story, I like the way she speaks and I love the description that Mr. Bosch provides for this character.
Plus, she’s sort of not human. Extraterrestrial, I’d say, but the author does not say that she IS extraterrestrial, and that makes me keep wondering, “WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN?!?!” making her an even more mysterious, yet cool character.

A book that I enjoyed reading was the 'Wind on Fire' series. Now, I am reading the last book of the series. Generally, the book is about three children that goes on an adventure all around the world. It is a fiction book. In the first book, the town that the children live in gets very weird. For example, the Chief Examiner doesn't recognise his own son. So, Kestrel, Bowman and Mumpo (the names are weird) sets off to find a piece of stone called the 'Silver Voice'. When they get it, they come back with a fierce army on their trail called the Morah. But as most stories finish, they return home safely.In the second book, an army from a place called the Mastery, comes and attacks Aramanth, the town that the kids live in. Everyone except for Kestrel gets taken as slaves.Kestrel goes on a long journey to find the slaves and Bowman (Kestrel's twin brother) defeats the Master (the person in charge of the Mastery)
I don't know how the last book goes yet, but I presume it to be good.

Hello, I am Hong Chan from 7C.
My favourite story is called Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson (unabridged). It's genre is mainly adventure,loyalty and piracy. This story is packed full of action and many unexpected twists to the plot, also with mysterious traps and things that occur without a warning. The main character is a teenage boy called Jim who's characteristics change throughout the novel to a very bold and courageous person. He tackles many unpredicted challenges of betrayal and violence especially with Long John Silver and other crew members. However, this book simultaneously demonstrates betrayal and loyalty.
My favourite character is definitely Long John Silver. He shows what a real villain is and acts quick witted. He is mischievous and envious to Jim and other characters like Dr.Livesey. The novel doesn't foreshadow before Long John Silver turns against Jim and comes as a electrifying surprise to the reader when he does, since he was so generous to Jim and showed him everything about piracy. He first turns away from Jim when he makes a gang and murders two of Jim's crew members. However, on the other hand Long John Silver is the most charismatic character in the novel. Even though he has only one leg he moves swiftly across rough decks and also when his gang started to think that they shouldn't believe him, with one speech he turned them back to his side.

My favourite story is 'Shooting an elephant' by George Orwell.
The story is narrated in first person, and the main character represents the writer. The main characters are the narrator whose job is a police officer, the Burman people, and the elephant which suddenly attacks the town and Burman. So, the police officer had to go and kill the elephant which killed an indian, but didn't really want to. However, he shoots the elephant several times because many people were watching him. He also felt pressured as a police officer. Later on, the police officer finds out that the elephant was stripped by the people in Burman and was almost left with bones...
It was quite sad for me... I felt sorry for the elephant who was stripped by the people..........

Hi everyone, this is Rachel from 7C.
One of my favourite stories I've read so far is called 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry. For me, this book was very poignant and it also made me cry while reading it. It made me think about what my definition of a 'perfect world' was because this book is set in a different kind of world than ours in the 21st century. Whether this book is set in the future or whether this book is set in a completely differerent world is not clear in the book, therefore it's up to the readers to decide. I thought this book might be set in the future because the 'Receiver' keeps all memories from the past which are extinct from the local peoples' minds and they are not familiar with the idea of 'danger', 'pain', 'war' or fear at all. There are less choices that can be made by people because all the things that are not safe are illegal and no-one ever thinks about doing something lateral or unusual. For example, the people are frightened when they see an airplane flying over the sky because it is illegal for airplanes to fly over vilages. The Elders observe the children's personality and what they're good at and assign them a role in the Community. There is no choice. When you're too old, you are 'released', which means you are put to sleep, without pain. No-one knows what the 'release' really is except the Receiver, who keeps the memories of the things that are extinct in the peoples' minds. It is very painful to be a 'Receiver' and the main character, Jonas is assgined the role of being a 'Receiver'. The current 'Receiver' wants Jonas to call himself the 'Giver' because he is no longer receiving the memories, but he is giving the memories to Jonas. It is also the most likely reason why the book is called the 'Giver'. While receiving the memories from the Giver, he receives some excruciating and depressing memories and he also finds out a shocking fact about the Giver and the Community's past. During Jonas's training, the Giver and Jonas decide the other people need to share the pain and the joy of the memories. If Jonas escapes the village, the memories he had received will be shared, but he must never come back. He decideds to take his 'kind-of-brother', Gabriel because he was going to be released because Gabriel wasn't tall or strong enough for his age. However, the journey outside the village is very strenous and rigorous for Jonas. Now, the last few pages of this book is the part that made me cry. Lois Lowry writes: "...he thought he heard music, too. But perhaps it was only an echo". The word 'echo' leaves a lot of suspense because there are innumerous possibilities what the last sentence could mean. It was kind of annoying at first, but I think Lois Lowry has a very good technique in making the readers think throughout the whole story. I've written the things that were the most memorable to me, but the book is much more interesting that it probably sounds like here. Thank you for reading this!

Hi!My favorite story is called Holes by Louis Sachar. He wrote books such as Small Steps and The Card turner. The main character’s name is Stanley and the police thought that he stole a famous runner’s shoe. He stays in jail and meets Zero, Armpit, X-Ray and more. They have to dig up a hole every day. At last, Stanley and Zero try to run away. I think this is a great story. I think you should read it.

Hello, this is Jiwan Lee from Year 8. Like Ms. Healy, I have lots of favorite books. Hello, this is Jiwan Lee from Year 8. If I have to name only one, it is 'Hunger Games', the series by Suzzane Collins. The first time I read this book, I couldn't let go of the book! I took it everywhere I went and read it anytime I had time. Because I never stopped reading the series, I finished the whole series in a week! There are lots of reasons why I like this series.
Firstly, I like this series because the author of the book explores the effects of wars and violence on those coming age. Before I read this book, I wasn't very into stories about war and violence but the way Suzanne Collins explores the effects, makes me feel like I'm in the story. I just thought that if, these things really happens in real life in thousands of centuries later, I wouldn't be surprised because Suzanne Collins made it sound do real.
Secondly, this book is coming out in the cinemas on March. That is how I got to know about this series. The book is interesting but when I watched the trailer of this movie, I was even more excited to watch the movies because I really enjoyed the book.
Lastly, I like this series because I think it is very unique. The setting of the book like Districts and the Capitol, it is full of imagination! I don't know where all her imagination comes from! The people from the book and their characteristic is so different from other types of book that it is wonderful and unique at the same time.
These are the reasons why I like this series. And, if I can read the series again, I will read it. Thank you!

Hi this is Margaux from year 8. I also like a lot of books and it is hard to choose one but I quite like the book 'The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne that I read in year 6 (but i forgot the title of this book and it took me ages to find it!!!). This story is about a boy and 5 other poeple including his dognthat travel around the world then their boat crashes on the mysterious island so they have to find vital resources in condition to survive. They split up to find resources but they then get lost!!! And i m not going to continue otherwise i'll give everything away.
I would recomand this book to anyone who likes adventure and survival books.
ps: i am starting to read the book 'around the world in eighty days' also by Jules Verne (because my dad wants me to (in french)) and the begging is quite good.

Hi I am jake. I have many favorite books, and one of them is 'holes' like Jenny. Since Jenny has written about it, I will introduce you 'the lost hero' from the 'heroes of olympus' series.
You all would have read the 'percy jackson and the olympians' series (the lightning thief, the sea of monsters, the titan war, the battle of the labyrinth, and the last olympian) if you like quests and fantasies. People who read this series MUST MUST MUST read the lost hero because the story continues with another half-blood camp added and another main character (don't worry if you miss percy because he comes back in the second book of 'the heroes of olympus' :the son of neptune). here is a introduction to the story: a boy named Jason (half blood) lost his memory and ends up in camp half-blood. monsters are growing stronger under the goddess of earth:Gaea. A new magic called 'charmspeak' can charm people into doing things. A flaming(?) boy. discovor the secrets by reading the lost hero.(it is one of the best books ever and it is also jay won's favorite!)

From Erin CMy favorite book is the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It is an interesting book and the total story makes you curious who would be the last ones to survive from the hunger game. I also like this book because I love survival stories. My favorite character from this book is Katniss Everdeen, cause she is a person that could sacrifice her self for her family and her friends and she's really brave. You will notice it in the story. There are 2 more books of the hunger games which are the Catching Fire and the Mocking Jay . So the brief story is that every year 2 random people(girl and boy) from every district has to go in the arena for a hunger game, which is a game that you have to kill people from different districts, have to find food, water and medicine to survive and have to run away from dangerous plants, dangerous animals and enemies. And theres also a rule that if you and the different person from the same district they both can survive from this game.

My favorite books are (to name just a few): Harry Potter by JK Rowling ( Yeah, I STILL like Harry Potter even though I read it in 3rd grade ), Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, the Eragon series by Christopher Poalini, the Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkein and Short Stories by Mark Twain.You probably noticed that all of my favorite stories are fiction stories. I looked at everyone's favorite story above me, and I think it's safe to say that for me, fiction has something in it that makes your blood tingle with anticipation, urging you to pick a fiction book instead of a non-fiction if you had the choice to pick one out of the two. The Lord of the Rings is absolutely NO exception. I first saw the movie when I was very young, and Gollum scared me out of my wits so much, I left the film for my big brother to keep ( He LOVED it and practically memorized all the lines with my dad ) and vowed never to read the book or see the movie ever again. I was proved very wrong a couple year later, when I found no other book to read in my room except for The Hobbit. The Hobbit sparked that dormant bit of exagerated dramatic fiction part of me that left my 'inner voice' quoting lines from The Hobbit whenever the mention of something related to treasure, war, fairy tale creatures and dragons came up in conversations.I strongly reccommend for anyone who likes blood, battle, wits and danger the Eragon series and the series of the Lord of the Rings.

the Rings:Basically, the good main charecters for these stories are Bilbo Baggins ( the starter of the Lord of the Rings ), his nephew Frodo Baggins, and Frodo's friend as well as manservant and side-kick, Samwise Gamgee (aka Sam). I think that Sam is one of the most funniest charecters in the sequel, as he keeps on rattling on about a forgotten rope. The goal ( and climax ) of this series is to defeat the evil Sarumen and the disembodied spirit of Sauren, also known as the Great Evil. Frodo sets off with the wizard Gandalf and faithful Sam at his side and the inheretied Ring. Later, they face inexpicable horrors and a great war for possesion: Will they restore peace to the land that they know? Or will evil and death torture and transform the country FOREVER?

Hello all my name is RoninMy Favourite series of books is the diary of a wimpy kid series, It is about a young middle schooler named Greg, who apparently has a horrible family and lives quite a depressing life. Greg has two siblings an older brother named ? and a younger brother named Manny and two parents, who are named ? and ?. The style of writing is very kiddish, but can be entertaining to all. It is a comedy/fiction series although it is very life like(in my opinion) I recommend this hilarious book to all, young or old, bad or good, it doesn't matter who you are, I know you will like it unless you have read it before.Ronin
My other favourite story is ´The Ugly Duckling´ by H.C. Anderson the famous danish poet and author,you may have heard of him he has written famous stories like ´The ugly duckling´ (as mentioned),´The little mermaid´ and ´The snow Queen´ and many more! ´The Ugly Duckling´ is very famous all over the world and it is about a small cygnet (baby swan) that gets lost from its real family and is suddenly with another duck family and when they all start growing up it realises that it is different from the others and none off them like him. He then grows up fully and meets other swans, and joins their herd, and it then ends living happyli every after! If you haven´t read any stories of H.C. Andersen, i recommend them! Hey Guys! Whats Up!My favourite story is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It is an exciting story on Greek mythology. So the main character is Percy Jackson who live with his mom and step dad. One day he was attacked by an evil creature. After, his best friend, Grover who is revealed to be a satyr, takes Percy Jackson to a special camp called Camp Half-Blood to train and become a warrior. One day he finds out his real father is the Greek God, Poseidon: The god of the seas. When Percy is chosen on a quest to find the missing Lighting Bolt of Zeus; the god of thunder and lighting and also the king of gods. They face many obstacles such as Medusa and other creatures. The book contains humor, suspense, action ,etc. The movie came out in 2010, but was not as good as the book. I suggest you read this book THEN watch the movie. My favourite story out of all books I've read so far that I've really enjoyed is the fourth book of the Fablehaven series which is "Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary" by Brandon Mull. The genre of this book is fantasy with never ending excitement until the last book! The story is based on two siblings called Seth and Kendra. I have read this book three times but I was never bored of it! The series started off with Kendra and Seth visiting their grandparents where they learn that their grandparent's mansion is actually a preserve full of mystical creatures like fairies and satyrs and that their grandparents are the current caretakers of Fablehaven. Between the first and the fourth book Kendra have become fairykind which haven't happened in centuries and have earned the power to read fairy language,see in the dark, and recharge magical objects and Seth became a shadow charmer and earned the power to speak with dark mystical creatures and become invisible in the dark.In this book, Kendra is captured and replaced with a sting-bulb that can duplicate into another form who is ordered to duplicate Kendra and spy on the Knights of Dawn. If you want to find out what happens you can borrow it from the writer of this book.
P.S Both for girls and boys because they have written in first person with both characters! Ages 11~12

My favourite story is Airhead by Meg Cabot it is about this girl called Emerson Watts who got hit on the head by a plasma screen in the Stark Megastore which was suspended from the ceiling. But it was hit by a paint ball fired by a protester which made it fall on her and Nikki Howard. (Who is a famous model) The next thing she knew was that she had been in hospital for a month in chemical a coma. She finally found out after……… that she had had a brain transplant: her brain into Nikki Howard’s body.

I have a lot of favorite books but I really want to recommend all of ks3’s my TOP2 favorite books. First, book is called ‘PRIDE AND PREJUDICE’ the author is Jane Austen(1775~1875) and it is a classic book. As you guys already know ‘PRIDE’ means having a high opinion of one’s self- importance, and ‘PREJUDICE’ means unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitude. So this is how the story goes… Once there was a woman called Mrs Bennet, she had 5 daughters and they are called Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia (oldest to youngest). Mrs Bennet is a woman who desperately wants her daughters to get married. And the 5 daughters goes to find their TRUE LOVE but it won’t be easy. That is far as I can tell you…LIF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS BOOK GO AHEAD TO THE LIABRARY AND CHECK OUT THIS BOOK!! J
I bet that u will know my second favorite book, it is one of the INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER!! It is called ‘THE DIARY OF A WIMPY KID’ it is a series book there are total of 5books blue, green, red, yellow and purple. The title says that it is a diary but this book is NOT really a diary. There are 2 or 3 copies for each book so don’t fight with it and comment about the book on my postJ

My favourite story is “The Mysterious Benedict Society” , by renton Lee Stewart. This book is about four kids; Reynie, Sticky, Kate and Constance. They are all homeless orphans, who are selected by Mr. Benedict after taking a series of extremely confusing tests. They need to use lateral thinking for the tests, not just normal knowledge that you would learn in school. They have to solve a mystery for Mr. Benedict, and in the process, they become great friends, finding out a lot about themselves and each other.
I enjoyed this story because I could feel the feelings of the characters, especially Kate. The book is first in a series of three.

Hello, I'm Justin. My favourite story is 'How the Camel got hi hump' by Rudyard Kipling. It is in the book 'Just So Stories'. It is one of my favourite books because it has a little humour. In this book, there are great hooks. my favourite is 'The Red Pyramid' by Rick Riordan. There are lots of great hooks in this book. It got me out of the Harry Potter series and made read the book. it hooked me out. It is about a Dad, a son, and a daughter that are all magiacians, going to the museum. They wear these anklets that contains the spirit of a egyptian god. The father tries to call the king of the gods, but instead brought the evil god that wanted power. the son and the daughter go on a journey and meet a girl older that is also a magician. The son and the duaghter can turn into birds and can turn into the gods avatar state. they train but they run away because the magicians were actually trained to fight the gods. The son and the daughter set off to defeat the evil lord that took over the throne
